TechWomen is a community of hundreds of women in technology roles across the country, that get together at connect events to network, workshop and hear from other successful women tech leaders.
Mentoring Circles
Finding a mentor can be challenging, so we created a mentoring circles programme for NZTech Members. Our programme matches two mentors with six women. The women will benefit from having access to a broader range of insights and viewpoints, from both their peers and mentors.

ShadowTech
The ShadowTech programme ran from 2014 – 2019, providing young women in years 9 -11 with an opportunity to experience what working in the tech sector could be like, encouraging them onto education pathways that lead into tech sector roles.
ShadowTech Teachers, is an evolution from ShadowTech, and is being introduced for 2021. This programme will give secondary school teachers and career advisors the opportunity to spend half a day with a professional working in the tech industry and get an insight into ‘a day in the life’!
Recognition
TechWomen actively encourages women to enter relevant awards and recognition programmes. We work with many organisations that run awards programmes to review their process to reduce barriers around women being successful in achieving recognition for their work.
