It starts with our stories.
If anyone’s been watching Netflix’s The Mind, Explained, Memory episode, you will know that the easiest way for humans to remember something is through storytelling and narratives.
This year TechWomen aimed to share more stories of women in tech.
We used video to share stories of 30+ women in tech across New Zealand to start our mission of being able to Promote more women in tech. Women still make up a low minority of the tech industry. We want to share the stories of these women who have gone against all odds, to excel in their fields. We invite you to watch their stories as we share each one leading up to Ada Lovelace Day.
What would be even better, is if you shared these videos across your organisation with all your colleagues. Let’s hear these stories and tell more of them.
TechWomen invites you to our National Ada Lovelace Day Networking Event.
You are invited to meet our featured women across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton and Dunedin.

Who are we?
TechWomen is a group of passionate New Zealand tech, digital and ICT focused individuals from leading organisations that work together, with the support of NZTech, to help address one of the major challenges for the successful growth of technology in New Zealand – a shortage of women in tech roles.
We work together to help inspire girls into technology, support the growth of women in tech roles and to help develop policy and actions for improving diversity in the tech workplace.
Hear from our latest executive committee member on why she is giving her time to work with TechWomen NZ.
